Our recent round of changes have been slanted towards making things easier for newer/weaker players

* added salvage missions that provide free low level ships
* added supply shipment missions that spawn inversely proportional to a player's strength
* reworked player protections. players taking heavy losses will now receive a short defensive cooldown timer in which they cannot be attacked. This mechanic is relative to player strength and losses taken
* you can now change your email address, password, and a few other things
* tweaked the forum index layout a bit

I'll be keeping an eye on the cooldown tool and adjusting it as needed. Let me know about any feedback you have about it.

Oh Lord are ribbons back? I used to have such a pretty ribbon collection.

I am fairly amused at how quickly most of the top players for their flags in place when I didn't even announce that change.

Also, ribbons for everyone are a long way off.

Or he could fix more important things before adding new ship classes. Better to work out the kinks don't you think?

If you can think of a specific niche that's missing and ships to fill it, I'll consider it. Otherwise, it's probably not going to happen soon. Adding new ships is a manual data entry pain in the rear, and I'm not in a hurry to do it. Especially not when I'm still tinkering with things.

I think Yorktown-class will suffice for now, it was relatively cheap back the and although it had low health, its armament made it a good competition against higher tier ships A good carrier to put it simply. I think adding one might encourage players to try out other types of ships and not focus solely on an "all-guns" fleet.

After a quick look at wikipedia, I'm not seeing a lot in game to differentiate it from the Illustrious, which we already have. One of our 6 current Carrier classes.

Maybe in game messaging, finalizing base defences, finalizing balance issues, finishing up some issues I have no doubt are in this phase of release.

It's a beta phase of the game guys, let the poor bastard finish those things before you go asking for more internet text boats. With the ships currently in game you can have a very well balanced fleet.
